Job Description

    The person holding this position is accountable for:

    • Strategically sourcing capital equipment (CAPEX) and related MRO and services.
    • Managing and implementing procurement projects to support the operations of our plants in the Andean business unit (Colombia, Ecuador and Peru) plant operations.
    • Ensuring best practice and best total cost of ownership. 

    MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Develops and executes strategic sourcing activities for assigned spend categories, leveraging industry best practices, commodity experience, sourcing methodology and global partnerships whenever possible
    • Proactively mentors and aligns stakeholders and local internal customers on the application of contracted programs  for successful project implementation
    • Develops RFI / RFP / RFQ activities for new and existing requirements.
    • Procures material from vendor in a cost effective manner while remaining consistent with quality, delivery, and project priority
    • Negotiates vendor contracts to meet business requirements and ensuring compliance with legal standards
    • Manages supplier performance in order to meet all quality and delivery requirements
    • Implements sourcing projects across multiple plants for standardization, preferred supplier utilization, cost savings and operational efficiencies
    • Researches and analyzes quotations received, selects or recommends vendor
    • Analyzes and reports preferred vendor utilization, savings project completion, supplier savings validations, inflation, inventory history, utilization/consumption, etc.
    • Proactively resolves issues (ie, material shortages, quality issue, etc) with vendors and internal customers utilizing organizational savvy and problem solving skills.
    • Takes proactive approach to resolve issues with vendors and internal customers utilizing organizational savvy, strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Builds trust based, service oriented, value added relationships with suppliers, internal customers, teammates and cross-functional departments
    • Assists and / or leads special projects as required / assigned.
    • Delivers cost savings to EBIT, CASH and Cost Avoidance targets

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related-area.
    • Capital Equipment/Construction/service experience and knowledge of the local markets (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru) preferred.
    • Minimum 3 - 5 years procurement experience specifically for Capex Projects (proficient in negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing process).
    • English written & oral: Advanced Working Proficiency (C1)
    • Proficient analytical and computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, SAP, Microsoft Suite, Ivalua).
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

    Hybrid Work Arrangement: We offer a flexible work model, requiring 2-3 days of on-site work per week, with the remaining days working from home.
