Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to join its Classified Solutions team in Annapolis Junction and Linthicum, MD. Please note that the selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our Annapolis Junction and Linthicum, MD campuses, and that this is not a remote work opportunity. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Provide first-level support to users experiencing technical issues with hardware, software, and network systems.
Create, modify, and delete user accounts to include password resets and RSA token pin recovery.
Manage systems administrator credential services such as TPAM.
Diagnose and resolve technical problems, guiding users through step-by-step solutions.
Log and track all support requests in the helpdesk system, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
Assist users with setting up and configuring computer systems, applications, and peripherals.
Maintain accurate records of support requests, solutions, and user interactions.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates and system backups.
Work with other IT staff to escalate complex issues and implement solutions.
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring users are informed and satisfied with the support provided.
Exhibit good communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment.
The selected candidate must agree to submit and successfully complete a polygraph examination as a condition to retain access to special program(s), and as a condition of continued employment.
The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment.
Current Security+ CE or equivalent certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire date; the certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Experience supporting large user populations in a secure environment.
Windows Operating Systems support experience.
Windows Workstation and Server management experience.
Experience with the following: WSUS, Group Policy, and Symantec.
The ability to lift 40 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current DoD Top Secret security clearance and polygraph.
Experience with Microsoft products such as Windows 10/11, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Experience with Windows AD, LDAP, VMWare, and knowledge of SAN storage systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where multiple projects are being developed and deployed simultaneously.
Ability to work well within a team environment and able to adapt quickly to change.
Experience with the creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment.
Experience with Certification & Accreditation process.
Patch management experience.
