This leadership role is located in Palmdale, CA.
Test Engineering & Operations Manager responsible for all facets of Strike Systems Test engineering & operations, including staffing, planning, execution and reporting in multiple technology areas. This position requires a highly motivated and self-starting individual with relevant test operations experience, who will be willing to work additional assignments beyond the defined requirements of this position. This manager will lead and provide functional management for a team of 10-15 systems test engineers in a group of flight test disciplines. The candidate will possess an aviation engineering and flight test background with strong technical and leadership skills. This position requires strong communication skills to support wide-ranging executive-level interaction and reporting to the Test Senior Manager.
Typical duties include:
Manage the daily test activities and personnel support, prioritize tasks and oversee the strategic long-term planning of test engineering & operations
Manage the daily tasks of the assigned personnel, including Test Engineers, Systems Test Engineers, Operators and support personnel
Manage the Test Engineering & Operations including budgets, personnel and resource scheduling as well as program de-confliction.
Liaise with the Flight Test Center Functional Homeroom and the Government Flight Representative (GFR) as required for the statement of work
Act as the Systems Integration, Test and Evaluation site lead during the execution of test operations
Identify all risks, issues, and pressures and develop mitigation and closure plans.
The Selected Candidate must be willing to work any shift depending on the business need.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of relevant professional/military experience, OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years of relevant professional/military experience, OR 5 years related experience with a PhD in a STEM discipline
Must have prior management experience or experience leading a team
Must have flexibility to work additional flight assignments beyond the defined requirements of this position.
Must have an active Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) with the ability to obtain an maintain a Top Secret Clearance as needed
Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science degree in science, technology, engineering or math.
Experience in a developmental/operational test environment
Experience in a Combined Test Force
