We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal/Sr Principal Cyber Systems Engineer based out of San Diego, CA. As a Principal/Sr Principal Cyber Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced team environment
- Performs as a consultant in highly specialized, leading edge information technologies and methodologies
- Perform hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Comply with cyber requirements, which may include routine system checks for Antivirus, logging, and network system services
- Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists (DNS management, LDAP administration)
- Recommend and implement approved system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management
- Solve complex problems across disciplines in an Agile, DevSecOps environment
- Opportunity to travel and support system installations, test support, and maintenance for customer sites
This position may be filled as a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer or Sr Principal Cyber Systems Engineer
Basic Qualifications for Principal Cyber Systems Engineer:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 5 years of experience; or 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree; or 1 year with a PhD
- An additional 4 years of relevant experience/education can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science Degree
- DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification, such as Security+ CE or able to obtain within six months of hire.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Clearance: Candidate must currently have, and be able to maintain an active/current U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance or higher.
Basic Qualifications for Sr Principal Cyber Systems Engineer:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 8 years of experience; or 6 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree; or 4 years with a PhD
- An additional 4 years of relevant experience/education can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science Degree
- DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification, such as Security+ CE or able to obtain within six months of hire.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Clearance: Candidate must currently have, and be able to maintain an active/current U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Server, Windows domain architectures, Windows Active Directory, LDAP, VMWare, and knowledge of SAN storage systems, Red Hat Linux Operating System experience and/or certification for current versions
- Knowledge of Windows management
- Knowledge of Windows LDAP, VMWare, and SAN storage systems.
- Knowledge of Python and Powershell scripting.
- Red Hat, Linux+ or similar certification
- Experience with Ansible
- Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (HBSS/Solar Winds/Splunk)
- Experience with creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment.
- DoD 8570 Certification including a primary OS (Windows, Linux, Cisco)
