Be a part of a dynamic team dedicated to Army Educational Outreach Programs as a JSHS Project Administrator. This position will support activities related to the day-to-day management and administration of JSHS (Junior Science and Humanities Symposium), a STEM competition for high school students.  General responsibilities include administrative financial tasks for the program, maintaining and updating program databases, communication with regional hosts and participants and planning and coordination of the national event.


This position will support activities related to the day-to-day administration of JSHS within NSTA and will report to the JSHS Project Manager. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist JSHS Project Manager (PM) in executing all stages of the program.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regional hosts.
  • Identify opportunities for, develop and implement programmatic process improvements.
  • Create and maintain project plans and SOP guidelines for the competition process.
  • Monitor JSHS emails and phone calls and provide customer service to all participants.
  • Plan, lead and execute special projects in support of the program.
  • Develop and maintain data driven systems for tracking program data and ensuring data integrity and dynamic reporting.
  • Additional duties as assigned by JSHS Project Manager.

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to establish priorities, assist with multiple projects, pay attention to fine details, and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced, high-pressure, deadline- oriented environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work cooperatively with other
  • Ability to proactively recognize potential issues and address concerns appropriately, and to communicate this information to the JSHS Project Manager or another program director when appropriate.
  • Ability to work independently.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel to one NSTA conference annually may be required as determined by the NSTA Senior

Director of Competitions. Travel to regional events and the National JSHS event is required.

Requirements

 PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 2-4 years related experience.
  • Expert command of the Microsoft 365
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat X-Pro pdf tools. Experience with Aptify and PN3 (accounts payable system) is preferred.

SALARY

$60-$65 annually
