Essential Job Functions:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Partners with managers to develop strategies for continuous improvement of all human resources functions.
- Reviews, develops, and revises human resources policies and procedures to comply with applicable laws and regulations and to achieve company objectives.
- Develops and administers individual counseling, performance improvement, and corrective action plans for associates in partnership with department managers and supervisors.
- Meets with associates regarding leave requests, determines leave eligibility under state and federal leave laws and company policy, and coordinates the completion of the required documentation specific to the leave type.
- Plans and coordinates new employee onboarding to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
- Administers company benefits to employees, serving as liaison between insurance groups and employees.
- Recommends discipline and discharge of associates; administers and communicates discipline and discharge decisions.
- Coordinates open enrollments for all benefits (medical/auxiliary/retirement).
- Maintains files and records in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Tracks PTO time usage timely and accurately.
- Coordinates, develops and provides associate training.
- Responds to, mediates, and resolves employee relations issues, including employee complaints and other workplace disputes.
- Develop and lead positive recognition programs including Employee of the Quarter, Employee of the Year and Above and Beyond programs.
- Maintains human resource information system records and complies reports from the database.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefit laws and regulations.
- Liaise with internal staff at all levels.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Work cooperatively with others.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications:
The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in all functional areas of Human Resources; Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Human Resources and Manufacturing Experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain the strictest level of confidentiality.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional personal computer skills: knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, proficiency in Word and Outlook.
- Must have well developed organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and follow through on multiple projects.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.
- Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrates a sense of urgency in completing assignments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to work all assigned work schedules, in addition to unscheduled hours to support business as needed.
- Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures.
