We are currently seeking a Marketing and Sales Coordinator to join our growing Sales and Marketing team. The ideal candidate has some experience and is looking to establish a career in marketing or sales, enjoys planning events, creating marketing campaigns, and working with clients in a mission-driven software company environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Sales and Marketing leadership in executing client outreach and lead generation efforts.
- Support the development and maintenance of marketing campaigns targeting transportation agencies (State DOTs, MPOs, cities, etc.).
- Help coordinate large-scale client and company events, such as MS2’s biennial user conference; strong event planning and logistics skills are essential.
- Work with Business Development to identify new client prospects through CRM campaigns, conference research, and email outreach.
- Contribute to the drafting of marketing content including case studies and campaign materials.
- Assist the Proposal Manager in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including content formatting, organizing responses, and adhering to submission guidelines.
- Track and report on marketing campaign effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of communications and activities in the CRM system (Salesforce).
- Opportunity to provide on-site support at industry conferences and client events as needed (minimal overnight travel is possible).
- Perform other tasks and administrative duties as assigned.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience or interest in social media marketing, digital campaign design, and lead generation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word , Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn Salesforce and marketing automation tools.
- Ability to understand and assist in technical proposal writing (preferred).
- Creative, detailed-oriented, problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Education & Career Path:
- Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or related field, or commensurate experience.
- This role is suited for recent graduates, early to mid-career professionals, eager to grow within our Sales and Marketing team.
- Desire to expand responsibilities and move into a higher-level sales or marketing role at MS2 is strongly preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- This role involves prolonged periods of computer-based work.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and assist with event setup, including trade show booths (hand tools may be required).
- Possible travel to conferences or client events may be required; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary.

Compensation:
This is an hourly position, both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered for this open position. Compensation range is $20/hour - $35/hour (plus overtime, if applicable), with actual rate to be determined based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
