We are seeking a strategic, creative, and globally minded Sr. Group External Communications Manager – Public Relations to shape and amplify the Medtronic Neuromodulation story. In this role, you will lead public relations and brand storytelling efforts that fuel therapy awareness, build reputation, and position Medtronic as an irreplaceable force in neuroscience.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Communications- Neuromodulation, this individual will develop and execute integrated communications strategies that translate clinical evidence and innovation into compelling, accessible stories. You’ll play a critical role in increasing awareness and preference for our therapies through creative brand activations, earned media, thought leadership, and global partnerships.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Lead global PR strategy and execution for Medtronic Neuromodulation, focused on therapy awareness, brand reputation, and earned visibility.
Translate complex clinical data and medical innovation into simple, emotionally resonant stories that connect with patients, providers, and media.
Drive creative brand storytelling and public relations campaigns, partnering closely with global marketing, regions, and clinical experts to highlight differentiated outcomes.
Build and manage media relationships across global, national, and trade outlets, proactively securing high value earned coverage.
Lead patient- and clinician-centered storytelling efforts, including identifying and ethically elevating voices that humanize the impact of our therapies.
Develop creative partnerships with professional associations, patient advocacy groups, and global influencers to expand reach and credibility.
Collaborate with and manage PR agency partners to ensure aligned strategy, seamless execution, and measurable results across global markets.
Support executive visibility, scientific milestone communications, and therapy launches through integrated PR plans and media toolkits.
Monitor media performance and sentiment, providing insights to inform and refine strategy.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of people or program managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of people or program managerial experience.
Nice to Have
Background in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or neuroscience/neurotechnology.
Experience working with global PR firms and multicultural campaigns.
Familiarity with advocacy and professional society engagement strategies.
Passion for patient storytelling and brand-building in a mission-driven organization.
