Position Summary:
The Quality & Regulatory Compliance Manager will coordinate all aspects of product quality, FDA labeling compliance, and supply chain regulatory readiness for a wide portfolio of CPG products. This role will act as a key liaison between product development, customer service, operations, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliant, high-quality products that meet internal standards and retail partner requirements. The ideal candidate is experienced in navigating FDA regulations, managing CPG quality systems, and collaborating with internal and external partners in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory & Label Compliance
  • Ensure all product labels comply with FDA, DSHEA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Lead review and auditing of product labels, ingredient changes, and packaging updates.
  • Stay current with evolving regulations and industry trends; update internal SOPs and documentation accordingly.
  • Manage regulatory documentation, label claims substantiation, and regulatory submissions where required.
Quality Assurance & Customer Feedback
  • Investigate and resolve customer service quality complaints, working with operations and vendors to correct root causes.
  • Maintain and continuously improve Quality SOPs to reflect industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage audits of suppliers, co-packers, and external manufacturers to ensure compliance with cGMP and internal standards.
  • Oversee product testing, certification, and documentation to ensure ongoing compliance and integrity.
Project & Data Management
  • Lead project management of all compliance and regulatory needs related to new and existing products, labels, packaging, and distribution.
  • Maintain and manage Item Specs Master Data, ensuring consistency across internal systems (e.g., ERP, PLM) and with external partners.
  • Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and recordkeeping across all product lines.
Logistics & Operational Coordination
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external manufacturers to manage label updates, product launches, and compliance checkpoints in the supply chain.
  • Manage shipping, packaging, and master case compliance to ensure retail and wholesale readiness.
  • Work cross-functionally with design and supply chain to create wholesale-ready master cases that meet both regulatory and logistical requirements.
  • Partner with logistics and distribution to optimize finished goods flow and reduce compliance bottlenecks.
Retail Compliance & Vendor Relations
  • Ensure products meet retail compliance specifications (e.g., Walmart, Target, Amazon, Costco).
  • Work closely with retail partners on audits, spec validation, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through packaging optimization and regulatory streamlining.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships to align product quality, documentation, and delivery standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Regulatory Affairs, Food Science, Nutrition, Quality Assurance, or related field.
  • 5 -7 years of experience in quality and regulatory compliance, preferably in CPG
  • Proven knowledge of FDA labeling regulations, DSHEA, and cGMP compliance.
  • Experience with project management and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and packaging compliance for wholesale and retail distribution.
  • Skilled in conducting quality audits and managing corrective/preventive actions.
  • Familiarity with master data tools, ERP systems, and specification management.
  • Experience working with external manufacturers, co-packers, or third-party logistics providers.
  • Familiarity with retail compliance portals (e.g., GS1, 1WorldSync).
  • Understanding of supply chain optimization and retail partner expectations.
  • Preferred Health and Wellness supplement and nutrition products experience
