One of our companies is currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer in United States.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a fast-growing startup on an ambitious mission to revolutionize the car ownership industry in the U.S. In this role, you will work on a critical stealth project focused on driver safety, building scalable and high-performance backend systems that support rapid user growth. You will collaborate closely with data scientists and engineering teams to develop and optimize stream processing applications, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance. This is a unique opportunity to impact millions of customers and help drive innovation in a large and fast-evolving market.

Accountabilities:

  • Design and oversee scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant backend architectures
  • Develop, profile, and optimize stream processing applications using Kafka and Flink
  • Collaborate with data scientists to deploy and integrate machine learning models in production
  • Manage data processing workflows including sanitization, validation, and quality assurance
  • Ensure high service availability, observability, and security standards across backend systems
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features rapidly and reliably
  • Continuously improve backend performance and scalability
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Proficient in at least one core programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript
  • Expertise with Kafka, Flink, and AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Experience building and optimizing stream processing applications
  • Proven track record of shipping products and features rapidly
  • Prior startup or high-growth company experience preferred
  • Knowledge of geospatial data processing is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
