Senior Legal Counsel
Job Description
Towards the end of our interview process is an in-person interview.
Do you want to help make the world safe from cyber attack?
At Corelight, we believe that the best approach to cybersecurity risk starts with the network. Attackers can evade endpoint detection, firewalls and many other technologies - but they can’t avoid leaving digital footprints on the networks they traverse. Built on open-source innovations from Zeek, Suricata and YARA and refined through years of real-world use, Corelight transforms network footprints from physical, virtual and cloud networks into actionable insights. Our customers use these insights to speed incident response and proactively hunt for threats.
Corelight is looking for an experienced attorney to join Corelight’s growing legal team, reporting to the General Counsel. As Senior Counsel you will be responsible for:
- reviewing and negotiating customer, distribution, reseller and business agreements and providing global legal support for commercial transactions and strategic go-to-market initiatives;
- providing business-oriented legal support to company stakeholders in engineering, product management, customer success, finance, labs, professional services, partnership alliances, channel and sales as well as other business groups, including buy-side agreements related to supply chain management, capacity, infrastructure, equipment and software;
- negotiating hardware, software and cloud services agreements and managing issues related to privacy, AI, data security and intellectual property, including open source software; and
- collaborating with other members of the legal team as well as business stakeholders to support continued company growth and scaling of operations, including the creation of partner and customer-facing materials and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- draft, review and negotiate complex commercial and transactional agreements with sophisticated global partners and customers across multiple sales verticals, including financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, public sector (federal and SLED) and international public sector;
- counsel on compliance issues related to privacy, AI, product development, regulatory frameworks, and U.S. and international public sector requirements; and
- assist with creating and maintaining enablement materials (subject matter playbooks, FAQs, training and collateral) for the legal team and cross-functional partners.
Requirements:
- law degree and admission to a state bar with good standing
- 8+ years of related experience as in-house counsel at a technology company and/or law firm, focusing on technology transactions
