The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. This role requires a strategic, mission-driven leader to oversee Janus’s operational and administrative functions with an eye toward transformation, efficiency, and health equity. The COO will collaborate with clinical, finance, and development teams to build scalable systems, align organizational practices with strategic goals, and ensure regulatory excellence.


  Key Responsibilities

  • Lead organization-wide operational strategies that advance Janus's mission and impact.
  • Supervise department heads and promote cross-functional collaboration.
  • Partner on implementing innovative systems aligned with ASAM 4.0 standards and BHCIP priorities.
  • Oversee administrative operations, compliance, and business continuity.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and outcome tracking.
  • Partner with CEO, CFO, and CPO on strategic and funding initiatives.
  • Represent Janus in community collaborations and regional healthcare coalitions.

Qualifications


  • Advanced degree in public health, healthcare administration, or related field (clinical licensure preferred).
  • 5+ years of senior leadership in behavioral health or health/social service organizations.
  • Demonstrated success in operational planning, process optimization, and fiscal oversight.
  • Expertise in compliance, regulatory audits, and quality improvement.
  • Commitment to trauma informed, culturally responsive care.

Preferred Attributes

  • Familiarity with SUD treatment, mobile outreach, and regional service models.
  • Experience with strategic growth, site expansion, and facilities development.
  • Empathy, adaptability, and accountability as core leadership traits.
