Representative, Advertising Sales

Overview

Sells or solicits advertising space for publication in newspaper, all its products and in digital and/or online products.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines. • Maintain assigned account bases while developing new accounts.• Provide clients with estimates of the costs of advertising products or services. • Locate and contact potential clients to offer advertising services. • Prepares list of prospects from leads in other papers and from old accounts.• Calls upon potential customers to point out advantages of publication and shows prepared mock-ups with mats and copy with headings.• Obtains pertinent information concerning prospect's past and current advertising for use in sales presentation.• Process all correspondence and paperwork related to accounts. • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to new and existing customers to sell new advertising programs and to protect and increase existing advertising. . • Deliver advertising or illustration proofs to customers for approval. • Prepare promotional plans, sales literature, media kits, and sales contracts, using computer. • Identify new advertising markets and propose products to serve them. • May collect payments due.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE• 2-3 years of Advertising sales experience or an equivalent combination of work experience and education.

Pay range: $16.50 - $20.80 per hour
