Senior Project Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Manage the technical scope of projects and serve as the technical point of contact to the project manager.
• Interface with external engineering firm, subcontractors and Client and liaise with internal disciplines to drive the projects to conclusion.
• Build internal and external relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal & external service providers
• Work with engineers, technologists and designers to provide engineering support to a variety of projects
• Design and develop Single line diagrams, Schematics, Wiring diagrams for Battery storage systems
• Prepare Electrical Equipment Specifications, Data Sheets, Purchase Requisitions and Bid evaluations for inverters, Switchgear, Transformers and other electrical equipment as required.
• Review Vendor Documents
• Develop Single Line diagrams, Schematics, UG system, and cable schedules
• Develop Short circuit, Load Flow and Arc Flash documentation using ETAP.
• Prepare electrical designs, calculations and bills of material
• Review internal and subcontractors design to ensure compliance with project requirements and contractual obligations.
• Travel up to 10%

Skills / Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering
• 5 years of BESS experience; 15 years of professional experience
• PE license desirable but not required
• Experience with design in BESS required; Systems for Utility Installation, Solar plant, Wind farm, Battery Storage, or Cogen plant power is a benefit
• Power System Study programs ETAP, SKM experience
• Knowledge of the Electrical System design, System Studies, Relay Coordination, Protection & Control
• Familiarity with applicable codes, standards and regulations
• Battery storage, PV plant or thermal plant power systems work is a plus.
• Basic understanding of Civil, Mechanical, and Structural.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and drive schedule of Engineering activities
