Job Description

Purpose
Intelerad is a leading global provider of enterprise imaging solutions. We are seeking a Program Manager III (Principal) who is responsible for successfully leading large-scale, complex, and strategic programs delivering Radiology and/or Cardiology Healthcare IT solutions. The role will require strategic oversight of Professional Services resources, enterprise-level program governance, executive stakeholder management, and organizational change leadership. This position will oversee multiple interconnected projects, establish program management frameworks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives with strategic and enterprise clients. The Principal Program Manager will build and maintain relationships with C-level client stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure delivery excellence across the program portfolio. Additionally, this role will be accountable for program financial performance, risk management, and strategic alignment with business objectives.

The focus and mission of this role is to serve as a trusted advisor to both internal leadership and external clients, driving enterprise value through successful program delivery while mentoring project teams and establishing best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Design and implement program governance frameworks for enterprise-scale client initiatives
  • Provide strategic oversight of interconnected projects and dependencies
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps aligned with business objectives and client operational goals
  • Establish risk management frameworks and mitigation strategies while working alongside cross-functional teams
  • Direct cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives
  • Mentor Project Managers and Program Managers at all levels
  • Lead enterprise-wide transformation & standardization initiatives
  • Define and implement program management methodologies and best practices
  • Participate in strategic planning and business development activities

Client Relationship

  • Serve as the strategic advisor for executive-level client stakeholders
  • Establish trust and credibility at the C-suite level with clients
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships and expectations across client organizations
  • Drive executive-level communications and program status reporting
  • Navigate politically sensitive situations with diplomacy and strategic thinking
  • Proactively identify business opportunities and growth potential within client organizations
  • Lead executive steering committee meetings and governance sessions
  • Manage critical escalations and develop resolution strategies with executive input
  • Ensure client business objectives and success criteria are clearly defined and achieved

Travel Requirements
This position requires up to 30% of travel, throughout North America and occasionally international

Qualifications

Employment Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Program/Project Management roles
  • 5+ years leading enterprise-scale programs in healthcare IT or similar complex environments
  • Experience managing program budgets of $5M+

Desired Competencies

  • PMP certification or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification highly desired
  • Master's degree (MBA, MHA, etc.)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Experience with enterprise software implementations in healthcare settings
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate business objectives into program deliverables
  • Executive presence with outstanding presentation and negotiation skills
  • Advanced stakeholder management and influence without authority
  • Financial acumen and experience with complex program budgeting
  • Strong leadership capabilities with demonstrated success building high-performing teams
  • Change management expertise and organizational development background
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive consensus in complex situations
  • Experience with agile and waterfall methodologies and hybrid approaches

The base pay for this position ranges from $135,000 per year to $155,000 per year within any geographic market in the USA. Pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Intelerad is a total compensation company. Pay is dependent on the position offered.  Bonus and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, retirement, PTO, and/or other benefits.
