Job Summary
We seek an experienced Facilities and Maintenance Engineer to oversee the design, implementation and optimization of manufacturing processes and the maintenance, repair, and operation of our facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. The successful candidate will manage maintenance teams, develop preventive maintenance programs, and optimize facility operations via process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
*Process Design and Development*
· Design and develop manufacturing processes and equipment.
· Conduct feasibility studies and process simulations.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
*Process Optimization*
· Analyze and improve existing processes.
· Implement lean manufacturing principles.
· Reduce costs, increase efficiency and enhance quality.
*Team Management*
· Lead, mentor and develop process engineering staff.
· Manage project assignments, schedules and resources.
*Safety and Compliance*
· Ensure compliance with regulations, codes and industry standards.
· Conduct regular safety audits and training.
*Facilities Management*
· Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and repairs of facilities, equipment, and systems.
· Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and industry standards.
*Maintenance Operations*
· Supervise maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
· Coordinate maintenance schedules, work orders, and inventory management.
· Troubleshoot equipment and system issues.
*Capital Projects*
· Plan, budget, and execute facility upgrades, renovations, and expansions.
· Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors.
*Safety and Compliance*
· Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
· Conduct regular safety audits and training.
*Budgeting and Cost Control*
· Manage departmental budgets and reduce costs.
· Analyze maintenance costs, identify savings opportunities.
Requirements
*Requirements*
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
· 2. 5+ years of process engineering management experience
· Electrical Engineering or related field
· 5+ years of facilities and maintenance management experience
· Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
· Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
· Certification in facilities management or maintenance engineering (e.g., CFM, PEM)
*Preferred Qualifications*
· Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
· Knowledge of sustainability and energy efficiency principles
· Familiarity with industry-specific regulations
