The position is responsible for maintaining accurate statistical data as well as maintaining productivity and productivity benchmarking data. Additionally, is responsible for coordinating all Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement functions and assisting in the annual budget.
Minimum Qualifications
o Education
o Graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
o Credentials
o HFMA certification preferred.
Physical Demands

4. Bend, stoop, and crouch occasionally.
5. Reach floor to overhead frequently.
6. Push and/or pull 10 pounds occasionally.
7. Lift 50 pounds floor to 30 inches occasionally.
8. Visual acuity, manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination within normal limits.
Essential Functions
1. Responsible for maintaining accurate statistical, demographic, clinical, and financial data for the cost accounting and decision support systems. Reviews department and hospital-wide data for reasonableness and completeness.
2. Coordinates all Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement functions. These functions include, but not limited to, all cost report preparation and follow-up, Occupational Mix, and DSH Surveys.
3. Responsible for the maintenance of the organization's productivity systems. Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly productivity reporting. Review and analyze to assist management in monitoring organizational productivity.
4. Prepares the contractual allowances monthly for both the hospital and physicians. Ensures accurate reserves are taken for revenue deductions based on historical analysis of payments and write-offs. Monitors accounts receivable general ledger balances to the source systems.
5. Assist with the annual budget preparation, meetings, and final loading in the decision support systems.
6. Other duties and projects as assigned.
