As a Service Sales Engineer, you will promote and secure the sale of spare parts, repairs, upgrades, field services, and service agreements for GEA Bakery solutions in the US market. You will drive customer engagement, manage key accounts, and work in tandem with Field Service, Customer Support, and Engineering to deliver optimal service solutions.

The ideal candidate will live in the Midwest, near a major airport so that domestic travel will be easily accessible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and adapt GEA’s service sales strategy within your territory.

  • Lead and prioritize service sales initiatives.

  • Manage key accounts and develop strong customer relationships.

  • Conduct client visits to promote service offerings and present solutions.

  • Maintain and update customer Ibase data.

  • Drive sales of spare parts, repairs, upgrades, and modernization projects.

  • Provide accurate and timely quotations and follow-up.

  • Identify and develop new sales contacts within client organizations.

  • Represent the company at trade shows alongside equipment sales.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity; provide feedback to leadership.

  • Leverage internal resources (e.g., service techs, sales reps) to boost sales.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred but not required.

  • Minimum 5+ years of technical territory sales experience required.

  • Understanding of service-based sales and customer segmentation.

  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies.

  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills. Spanish will be an asset.

  • Comfortable interacting across diverse levels and functions, both internally and externally.

  • Willingness to travel up to 60%, including potential international trips.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year.  GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.  You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
