GDIT has a requirement for a Junior Software Engineer to join our SMAVCS4 Contract in support of the Environmental Protection Agency. The role will support the Center for Computational Toxicology & Exposure (CCTE), a scientific organization working to support EPA decisions by providing solutions-driven research to rapidly evaluate the potential human health and environmental risks due to exposures to environmental chemicals and ensure the integrity of the freshwater environment and its capacity to support human well-being.
GDIT seeks a Junior Software Engineer to join our team, to provide dedicated support for the CCTE Division.
This position requires in-depth knowledge of both Python and back-end web application development, with an emphasis on API Development. The role entails consistent interactions with clients at the EPA, on a large team, distributed across a few locations in the U.S. The selected candidate must be capable of self-direction with assigned work tasks as well as comfortable and familiar with best practices in remote work. This is an ideal opportunity for a junior level developer who wants to be an active contributor.
HOW A Junior Software Engineer WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Help build, maintain, and automate data pipelines in Python
● Create documentation for projects, bug fixes, etc., received from clients
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science preferred
● Required Experience: 1-3 years of related professional IT experience
● Required Technical Skills:
