About The Role
The Solutions Consultant on our data solutions team is responsible for leveraging G2.com data to identify key market trends and investment signals, then translating these insights into compelling value propositions for our clients. This role directly impacts customer success by demonstrating how our data empowers informed strategic decisions.
In This Role You Will:
Strategic Data Analysis & Trend Identification
Identify and analyze emerging market and investment trends within G2.com data: This involves proactively exploring review sentiment, traffic patterns, buyer intent signals, and spend data on G2.com to pinpoint shifts in technology adoption, competitive landscapes, and industry-specific software preferences. The "why" here is to unearth early indicators and actionable insights that can influence our clients' strategies.
Correlate G2.com insights with broader market investment trends: Connect the granular data from G2.com (e.g., increased interest in a specific software category) to macro-level investment flows, economic indicators, and public market performance. This is done to provide a holistic view of the market and demonstrate the leading-indicator potential of our data.
Develop data-driven hypotheses on market dynamics: Formulate testable assumptions about how specific G2.com data points can predict or reflect larger market movements or investment opportunities. This proactive approach helps us stay ahead of the curve and offer prescriptive advice to clients.
Customer Value Articulation & Solutions Design
Translate complex data insights into clear, actionable value propositions: Articulate how findings from G2.com data can directly address client challenges, unlock new opportunities, or mitigate risks. This requires understanding the client's business context and speaking their language, whether it's about optimizing go-to-market strategies or informing investment decisions.
Design and present tailored data-driven solutions and "backtest" scenarios: Create customized analyses and presentations that demonstrate the power of our data by showing how historical G2.com data could have informed past market events or current trends. This helps clients visualize the real-world utility and ROI of our solutions.
Educate clients on the strategic application of G2.com data: Guide customers on how to integrate our data solutions into their existing workflows and decision-making processes, ensuring they maximize the value derived from our offerings. This involves ongoing consultation and support to foster adoption and deep engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Product Feedback
Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Success teams: Work hand-in-hand with these teams to understand client needs, contribute to account strategy, and ensure that our data solutions are effectively positioned and delivered. This ensures alignment between our data capabilities and customer-facing efforts.
Provide strategic feedback to Product and Engineering teams: Share insights gathered from customer interactions and market analysis to help inform future data product development and enhancements. This ensures our data solutions remain cutting-edge and highly relevant to market demands.
Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive offerings: Continuously research the broader data and analytics landscape, as well as competitor solutions, to maintain expertise and identify new opportunities for our data products. This keeps the team informed and competitive
Minimum Qualifications:

At least 5 years experience in data analytics, consulting, or a similar role
