Compliance Specialist/BSA Specialist

This position is available in Cortez or Farmington.  Pay Range $19-$22 per hour.

What would you be doing?  

• Maintain basic knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and all related anti-money laundering and OAFC regulations.
• Look for suspicious activity and patterns, review high and medium risk customer accounts 
• Perform quality control reviews and monitor the BSA program compliance.
• Research and resolve alerts within the BSA/AML Fraud System. 
• Assists in the preparation of Currency Transaction Reports within required timeframes.
• Monitor new account compliance with Customer Identification Program and OFAC regulations.
• Provide assistance and perform clerical and other related duties as assigned.
• Keep up to date on current issues and areas of risk. Focus attention on areas that pose high risk.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic ability to read and interpret government regulations, trade journals, and legal documents
• Six to twelve months prior experience in financial institution operations
• Basic understanding of general banking policies and procedures
• Effective and professional verbal/written communication skills
• Effective skills in desktop computer operations and software, including Excel spreadsheet
• Ability to observe the highest degree of confidentiality in handling of information received in the course of discharging responsibilities.
