The Director, Quality at Fortune Brands Innovations (FBIN) will focus on leading the quality strategy across various global markets for FBIN.  Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Global Quality, this role will be responsible for the implementation of quality best practices, building strong connections with Business Units to align Quality function activities with Business Unit priorities. Responsibilities of this role will also include leadership of the Quality and owning execution and support of key initiatives across FBIN.

Position location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL. Effective mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. The campus will offer vibrant workspaces for collaboration, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness and recreation.

Key Responsibilities

• Align goals & objectives within the Global Quality function with Business Unit priorities for the Business Units.
• Lead global field engineering, claims teams, CAPA and other Quality functions as necessary based on location.
• Lead the development of global, cross-BU dashboards levering Agile methodology to proactively address quality concerns and reduce the overall cost of quality.
• Own claims and wholesale warranty spend & drive improvement.
• Support quality requirements for all Global Supply Chain and Business Unit initiatives.
• Align process & standard of quality teams with Central Quality and EHSS systems.
• Drive adoption of best practices across all BUs to identify and action quality improvements.
• Drive down overall cost of quality across all BUs.  Identify areas of opportunity and key problem areas for Central Quality Engineers and support work as needed.
• Partner with Quality Systems leadership to create roadmap for quality improvement & systems work.

• Bachelor’s degree required with a preference for an Engineering focus. Advanced degrees or certifications in quality management are a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of leadership/management experience in the areas of Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, &/or Product Development Engineering in a quality driven environment.
• Strong management and leadership skills. Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and commitment to world class operations, manufacturing, quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to coach and manage a team of high performing individuals
• Demonstrated success in driving improvement and leading change throughout an organization.
• Six Sigma &/or lean problem-solving skills or certification a plus.
• A strong passion and vision for Quality, problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $142,000 USD - $218,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
