Job Description

Design and Development: Develop and implement computational models and software tools for automating chemical processes. This includes the design of algorithms and systems for process control, optimization, and predictive analytics.

Process Simulation and Optimization: Use simulation tools to model chemical processes, analyzing data to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety.

Automation Solutions: Develop and apply automation solutions in chemical engineering processes, including the integration of software with hardware systems.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights. Prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders.

Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest developments in chemical engineering, computational methods, and software automation. Apply innovative approaches to solve complex engineering problems.

Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, IT specialists, and project managers to ensure the successful implementation of automation projects.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure all processes comply with relevant safety standards and environmental regulations

Position Location: 12875 Capricorn St., Stafford, TX 77477

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Education requirements:  Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, computer Science or related field

Experience requirements: 2 years of work experience focusing on computational methods and software development in any occupation where the required experience was gained

Special Skills or Other Requirements

Work experience must include:

  1. Python (Emphasis on Pandas and NumPy add-on packages for data manipulation), Java, MATLAB.
  2. Simulation software:  Aspen HYSYS, Honeywell UniSim
  3. SCADA Software:  Inductive Automation Ignition
  4. VASP (Vienna Ab initio Simulation Package) for molecular dynamic simulation /modeling.
