Data Product Manager
Job Description
Finexio is revolutionizing how businesses manage and process payments by integrating digital payment and cash flow solutions into their existing software workflows. Our goal is to eliminate the complexity in B2B payments so finance leaders can focus on “what” to pay—while Finexio’s platform handles the “how” and “when.”
As part of our growth, we're seeking a Data Product Manager who will play a pivotal role in bridging business needs with data insights through effective reporting and business intelligence delivery. This role is ideal for someone with strong Power BI expertise, a product mindset, and the ability to translate complex data needs into practical, scalable reporting solutions.
Role Overview
The Data Product Manager will focus on enabling data-driven decisions across the organization by owning and evolving our reporting suite. You’ll work closely with stakeholders from finance, operations, and product to gather requirements, develop insights, and deliver intuitive, business-critical dashboards. Your main tools will include Power BI (required), Looker (preferred), and SQL, with some exposure to upstream data models and pipelines. You will be instrumental in increasing our data maturity while influencing how internal teams consume and leverage data to drive operational and strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Reporting (Power BI Focused)
- Own the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and performance.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable reporting and visualization products.
- Partner with engineering and data teams to validate data quality and availability.
- Manage reporting deliverables from scoping through launch, with a clear communication cadence.
Product Management
- Serve as the product owner for internal and external data reporting capabilities, defining reporting product roadmaps aligned with business needs.
- Conduct user interviews to continuously gather feedback on dashboards and reporting utility.
- Prioritize reporting enhancements and bug fixes using product management tools like ClickUp.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Finance, Account Management, Client Operations, and Product teams to understand KPIs and key reporting requirements.
- Advocate for end users by ensuring reporting solutions are actionable and user-friendly.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to improve data models that support reporting functionality.
Data Governance & Best Practices
- Support documentation and standardization of metrics, dimensions, and KPI definitions.
- Participate in training and enablement efforts to increase adoption of self-service BI tools.
- Help implement scalable data validation and error-checking procedures within reporting workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a Data Product, BI Analyst, or Data Reporting role, preferably in fintech or SaaS.
- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI is required; familiarity with Looker and BigQuery is a plus.
- Proficient in SQL and able to write optimized queries for data exploration and dashboard back-ends.
- Comfortable working with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
- Understanding of modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, Hightouch) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Familiar with product management practices and remote collaboration tools (ClickUp, Teams, Miro, etc.)
Who You Are
- A natural collaborator who communicates well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and analytical with a passion for creating impactful, clean, and intuitive data visuals.
- Motivated to improve internal processes and help scale reporting infrastructure.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities can shift quickly.
