RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the annual Hearing Conservation and Respirator/Emergency Response Team Medical Surveillance Program and develop/maintain a PAPR Program.

• Provide oversight and implement continuous improvement for Lock-out/Tag-out Program, including training and procedure development.

• Provide oversight for permitted work programs for hot work, confined space, and line/flange break.

• Coordinate annual first aid/CPR/AED training for the site first responders.

• Provide required training for Safety at Evonik and other safety programs.

• Manage the safety incentive program, which includes reviewing and updating the program guidelines annually, overseeing the data collection process, and tracking
  employee points.

• Coordinate with the Janesville Emergency Response Team to ensure appropriate training and equipment is obtained to allow the team to support the plant.

• Communicate with internal and external experts regarding compliance topics.

• Prepare for, participate in, and assist with correcting findings from corporate and government audits/inspections.

REQUIREMENTS

• Associate or Bachelor degree in a Safety related field or equivalent experience.

• 3-5 years of experience in safety/production, preferably in a chemical
  manufacturing facility.

• Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety requirements in the
  manufacturing environment

• Work effectively in a team environment and motivate others toward
  compliance and understanding

• Ability to administer in-person training to all employees

• Self-directed with prioritization skills

• Analytical evaluation and risk assessment capability

• Proficient with technology including Microsoft Office Products, SAP, and
  Outlook.
