IP Network/Security Engineer

Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for an IP Network/Security Engineer for one of our partners, a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services.

This position requires flexibility to work on US times and flexibility to travel abroad when needed.

Job Summary:

This role focuses on the development, integration, and support of advanced network systems and security infrastructure across wireless, satellite, fixed, and enterprise networks. The ideal candidate will be a key contributor in a complex and critical environment, with a strong understanding of client needs and the ability to deliver robust, secure, and scalable network solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure IP network infrastructures using Cisco, FortiGate, Checkpoint, and F5 technologies.
• Integrate and support network systems across wireless, satellite, IoT, 5G edge, Telco Cloud, and enterprise environments.
• Apply engineering practices to embedded software, application software, and automation platforms.
• Manage and optimize network performance, security, and reliability.
• Develop and execute project plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
• Act as a facilitator and coach within the team, driving collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Proactively identify and resolve network issues, anticipating client needs and delivering effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, protocols, and security best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, Fortinet NSE, F5-CA, JNCIS) are highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering and security roles.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Cisco Routers and Switches
• FortiGate and Juniper Firewalls
• Checkpoint Firewalls
• F5 Load Balancers
• Cisco Nexus platforms

• In-depth knowledge of:
• Routing and Switching (MPLS, VRF)
• VPN technologies
• IT networking services (ISE, Firewalls, Load Balancers)

• Familiarity with:
• Automation and Edge Compute platforms
• Connected applications and B2X apps
• 5G and Telco Cloud environments
