Position Summary:

The Product Merchandising & Development Specialist is a high‑impact individual contributor who converts strategy into execution across eJam’s portfolio of brands. You will own the research, documentation, compliance packets, and timeline discipline that move products from concept through launch, ensuring every SKU is market‑ready, margin‑positive, and fully compliant.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000

What Your Day Will Look Like:

  • Research and analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and consumer insights to inform briefs.
  • Maintain accurate margin models (COGS, landed cost, MAP) and update NetSuite/PIM records daily.
  • Draft product briefs, spec sheets, and dielines; coordinate revisions with factories and creative.
  • Track prototypes and pre‑production samples, capturing feedback for iteration.
  • Compile regulatory documents, lab tests, and certifications; escalate gaps immediately.
  • Drive ClickUp task boards, issuing reminders to cross‑functional owners.
  • Publish concise weekly status dashboards highlighting risks and variances.
  • Monitor first‑90‑day sales and returns, summarizing insights for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Merchandising & Market Insights

  • Mine consumer reviews, social listening, and syndicated data to surface actionable insights.
  • Assist in quarterly competitive line reviews and gap analyses.

Product Development Execution

  • Translate briefs into detailed tech packs with clear specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate sample requests, fit/functional testing, and feedback loops with suppliers.

Sourcing & Compliance Coordination

  • Collect supplier audits, safety test reports (FDA, CPSIA, EPA, etc.), and certifications.
  • Maintain the compliance folder for each SKU, ensuring zero missing documents at launch.

Project Management & Cross‑Functional Alignment

  • Own ClickUp boards for product pipelines, driving ≥95 % on‑time milestone completion.
  • Facilitate weekly stand‑ups with creative, operations, and marketing to clear blockers.

Post‑Launch Lifecycle Optimization

  • Track sell‑through, returns, and customer feedback during the first 90 days.
  • Prepare iteration briefs or retirement recommendations based on performance data.
  • 3–5 years in CPG or e‑commerce product development / merchandising.
  • Fluent in Excel/Sheets, PIM (Salsify or similar), and ERP (NetSuite preferred).
  • Working knowledge of US/EU regulatory and testing requirements.
  • Proven project‑management discipline (Agile or Stage‑Gate).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Analytic, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a fast, cross‑time‑zone environment.

  • Data Accuracy: 100 % SKU data completeness in PIM / NetSuite.
  • On‑Time Tasks: ≥95 % of assigned milestones hit or pulled forward.
  • Insight Generation: ≥3 market or consumer insights surfaced monthly.
  • Compliance Perfection: Zero missing test reports or certificates at launch.
  • Launch Readiness Score: ≥90 % on internal checklist for each SKU.
