Accounting Manager

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to be responsible for full cycle of fixed assets and project accounting, establishing and maintaining regional fixed assets policy and asset management system. This job requires the individual to be highly motivated and work well under pressure and tight timelines.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Managing the full asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal, ensuring compliance with the company’s capitalization policies and any regional tax requirements
•  Review and reconcile of the fixed asset register to ensure it aligns with physical assets
• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets subledger with general ledger
• Coordinate and collaborate with project managers and Procurement team to accurately track various projects
• Organizing and overseeing regular physical inventories of fixed assets, ensuring accuracy in asset records
•  Implementing asset tracking systems for periodic asset reviews and ensuring proper reporting of asset conditions and locations
• Providing guidance and support to the business units within the region for fixed assets related accounting and reporting need
• Managing and tracking various large projects. Working alongside with project managers and IT Oracle supporting to provide ad hoc reports
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
•  Responding to head office requests for detailed asset information and performing analysis
•  Handles personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
• Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff
• Manage and lead employees to build a strong team in providing support to the management team and providing customers with excellent service experience
• Always act as an ambassador for DP World when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s Founder’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
• Perform other related duties as assigned on as needed basis

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Accounting related bachelor’s degree
• 5-10 years of general accounting, fixed assets or other accounting related field is a must.
• ERP system experience is a must. Prior Oracle Fusion financials experience is a plus but not required
• International accounting experience is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work with colleagues with different languages, backgrounds, and personalities
• Excellent time management, organizational, and planning skills with attention to detail
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Requires advanced in Excel skill
• Strong leadership skills
