Job Purpose:

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle of project implementation—from planning through execution—ensuring deliverables are on time, within scope, and within budget. This role is a vital link between engineering teams and third-party installation contractors, focused on high-quality execution and client satisfaction within the media and broadcast sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of IT implementation projects.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, defining scope, timeline, budget, resources, and milestones.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Deloitte’s engineering team and third-party installation crews.
  • Oversee onsite activities including hardware racking, stacking, and cabling according to patch schedules.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings, align expectations, and communicate project updates regularly.
  • Track project risks, dependencies, and issues, taking proactive steps to ensure resolution.
  • Manage team scheduling, including vacation, performance issues, and approvals of timesheets.
  • Produce progress reports and track material requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide feedback and markups to the engineering team for as-built documentation updates.
  • Ensure high-quality installations that align with client standards and project goals.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience in the broadcast/media industry as a Project Supervisor or Installation Lead.
  • Proven ability to lead the implementation of complex, large-scale media systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the flexibility to adapt to schedule or scope changes.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation such as:
    • System diagrams
    • Block and schematic diagrams
    • Electrical and configuration tables
    • Equipment elevations, floorplans, and run lists
  • Solid understanding of cable types, connectors, and current installation best practices.
  • Ability to instruct team members on installation techniques and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with commercial building operations and trades as they relate to technology integration.
  • Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills with a client-service mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant project tools.
