HR Assistant
Job Description
We are currently seeking an HR Administration/Assistant to work in our HR Department. This person will handle and processes all personnel/payroll changes and records. Assists with receiving and screening calls and walk-ins, answering general human resources related questions regarding policy, procedures, benefits, and record information. Generates and tracks documentation relating to job description, annual physical, licenses, performance evaluations, and other record keeping as necessary.
Essential Duties:
· Maintains and processes all employee records, documents, and files. Including termination, new hires, change-of-status, and leave-of-absence.
· Processes all vendor payments and check requests and ensures that billing is accurate and timely.
· Answers general questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
· Prepares, audits, and organizes payroll data/changes for assigned pay periods, as received.
· Coordinates administration of the hospital benefit program including enrollment, verification, billings, and appeals.
· Works with employees and their families to provide guidance regarding benefit selection, benefit counseling, record-keeping, claim processing, and other general benefits support.
· Assists in the coordination of benefits information programs for open enrollment and new hire orientation.
· Works on special projects, as assigned.
· Assists in the recruiting, screening, selection, and placement of job applicants. Including processing of all pre-employment paperwork. Coordinating pre-employment physical. Coordinating hire process with department directors and Human Resources Department.
· Performs related duties, as requested.
· Upholds the Organization's ethics and customer service standards
Job Requirements
Education – Must have High School diploma or equivalent with two (2) years of college or equivalent work experience. Must have computer skills.
Experience – Prefer previous human resources experience within healthcare field. Minimum two (2) years’ experience in fast paced office setting.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
· Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
· Strong communication, project management and organizational skills required
· Ability to learn quickly and follow processes and procedures
· Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
· Solid verbal and written communication skills
· Sound judgement
· Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions
· With or without reasonable accommodations, must be able to stoop, kneel, lift moving about in work area and throughout organization to accomplish task
· Typing, data entry (finger dexterity) and ability to hold hands steady on keyboard when typing
· Sit at extended period of time with erect posture. Reading forms/computer screens; express or exchange ideas orally and potentially loudly, accurately, or quickly; visually detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, assess; perceive the nature of sound with or without correction; perform repetitive motions of the wrist, hands, or fingers
· Light work most of the time, exerting up to 10 pounds of force frequently
