About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Sr. Director of Technical Program Management (TPM) to orchestrate our most critical cross-functional initiatives. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for strategically overseeing and driving the delivery of our most complex, cross-functional initiatives, from initial concept to global launch and beyond, for the technology that powers the on-demand pay movement.

You will be the connective tissue between our Engineering, Product, Design, and Go-To-Market organizations, creating clarity out of complexity and ensuring we deliver ambitious, high-quality products with speed and precision. Your primary mission is to remove roadblocks, drive ruthless prioritization, and be the engine that accelerates DailyPay's product velocity and execution excellence. This role reports directly to the CTO and interfaces as a key go-between; between Product and Engineering.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Drive Strategic Program Execution: Own the master plan for our most complex, cross-functional programs. Partner with executive leadership to translate company strategy into a detailed, executable roadmap, ensuring alignment on scope, timeline, and resources across all teams.

  • Accelerate the Development Lifecycle: Master and drive the full product lifecycle: from initial ideation, requirements definition, and technical design through to development, testing, deployment, and post-launch iteration in a fast-paced, agile environment.

  • Champion Delivery Speed & Quality: Implement and refine lightweight processes and operating rhythms that enhance velocity and predictability without introducing bureaucracy. You live to unblock teams and get things done.

  • Lead Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as the primary operational interface between Engineering, Product Management, Design, Legal, and Go-To-Market (Sales, Marketing, Support) teams. Ensure seamless handoffs and clear, consistent communication of program status, risks, and changes to stakeholders at all levels, including the C-suite.

  • Proactively Manage Risk & Dependencies: Become an expert in our technical architecture and product landscape to proactively identify, track, and mitigate risks and dependencies—including security, compliance, and financial regulations—across multiple engineering teams and product lines.

  • Build a Culture of Excellence: Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and a bias for action. Mentor and guide product and engineering teams on best practices for execution and delivery in a regulated FinTech environment.

  • Scale the TPM Function: Define the vision for Technical Program Management at DailyPay, building and leading a world-class team of TPMs as the organization grows.

What You Bring to The Team:

  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management, software engineering, or product management within a fast-paced, high-growth technology company.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing complex engineering programs or leading TPM teams, with a proven ability to hold teams accountable and deliver results.

  • A Master of Execution & Velocity: You have an unwavering focus on execution and a proven track record of increasing delivery speed. You are adept at resource management, capacity planning, and establishing data-driven processes (OKRs, KPIs) to track program health and ensure accountability. You are an expert with project management tools like Jira, Asana, etc.

  • Deep Technical Acumen: You have a strong understanding of modern software development lifecycles (Agile, Scrum, Kanban), CI/CD, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), secure financial systems, and API-driven product architectures. A background in software engineering is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: You can distill complex technical concepts into clear, concise updates for executive audiences and effectively align teams with differing priorities.

  • Strategic & Systems Thinker: You can see the big picture and how the pieces connect, but are also comfortable diving deep into the details to solve problems and remove roadblocks.

  • Domain Experience (Required): Experience in FinTech, Payroll, HR Tech, On-Demand Pay, Payments, or B2B financial services; or Neobanking.
