The purpose of this class is to provide ongoing engineering support for the college's SIP systems which are primarily used to access the Microsoft Teams Unified Communication and Collaboration (UCC) solution. The Teams UCC solution integrates Voice over IP (VoIP), Unified Messaging, Instant Messaging & Presence (IM&P), and Web and Video Conferencing services using AudioCodes Session Border Controllers (SBCs) for connectivity.

Bachelor's degree required, degree in networking technology or information technology management preferred. Three (3) years of experience managing SIP environments in a large cloud environment required . Experience with Microsoft Teams and AudioCodes SBCs preferred. Experience working with higher education computer services departments and project management certifications preferred. 

  1. Provide direction and planning for the college's UC and SIP environments.
  2. Plan and evaluate for the completion of scheduled projects and tasks.
  3. Develop the execution of upgrades and adjustments to the environment based on vendor updates and the college's strategic priorities and operational objectives.
  4. Collaborate and coordinate with institutional users to understand their needs and business requirements. 
  5. Resolve problems related to UC and SIP systems.
  6. Establish metrics and operational objectives for SIP systems consistent with CCBC's mission, vision and values.
