Finance Business Partner - Commercial - Clinical Trial Sourcing
Job Description

The Role:
This is a dedicated finance role that directs all commercial finance and management reporting activities across the Clinical Supplies Management division (CSM). Will lead and drive the CSM commercial Finance Team responsible for generating key activities of budgeting, forecasting, internal reporting, P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow management all performed to the highest quality and service standards.
You will play a pivotal role in business partnering with the SVP Clinigen Clinical Supplies Management and the associated leadership team to consistently challenge how the business is run, provide insight and management information to underpin sustainable business growth.
This will be a hybrid role, working onsite 2-3 days per week following the training period, which will require an onsite presence of 3-4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take individual and collective responsibility for delivering world class customer service to key stakeholders of the division and provide insights to support decision making, improve financial visibility through improved reporting that leads to identify opportunities to enhance profitability
- Provide the highest level of service to the SVP and CSM stakeholders for all finance business partner activities, proactively engaging with the local Financial Controllers as appropriate
- Ensure financial control, drive consistency and robust financial planning for the CSM division owning the provision of Monthly management accounts and relevant KPIs for business unit
- Manage the consolidation of global CSM results to generate clear and accurate monthly Business review packs , rolling forecasts and own the Annual budget and long range processes & timetable
- Take ownership of reviewing the Sales commission plans and payout calculation for the division to ensure a strong financial governance and review of commission payments made each quarter
- Proactively communicate and work collaboratively with the Financial controllers to ensure accounting standards are followed and the link between statutory and Management Reports is clearly defined, aligned with the Group and understood for all key stakeholders involved
Project Management and Financial leadership
- Provide financial input on specific Business or Investment projects, e.g. ERP, Regulatory changes, M&A, licensing deals, and divestments
- Support the sales leadership with financial review of new Business opportunities & RFI responses
- Take an active role in reviewing the existing systems and processes to ensure joined-up approach across the business unit and drive continuous improvements in business processes along with
• Fully qualified chartered accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Demonstrable experience in a similar position.
• Demonstrable business and commercial awareness.
• Experience of managing a senior budget holder.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively to all financial matters relating to the IFRS.
• Deliver highest level of customer service to the business as demonstrated by 360 feedback.
• Pharma knowledge desirable but not essential.
• Advanced excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s and graph creation.
• Experience of Oracle and HFM/FCC platforms desirable but not essential.
