Job Description

Temporary Position: Estimated to be six months potential option to convert to a full time employee

Job Summary: Subrogation Adjuster to manage and pursue recovery opportunities on paid claims from responsible third parties. This role involves conducting liability investigations, assessing recovery potential, negotiating settlements, and supporting legal action when necessary. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, along with a solid understanding of insurance and claims handling

Description:

• Investigate paid claims to determine subrogation potential and identify responsible third parties.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and supporting documentation to establish recovery opportunities.
• Initiate and manage subrogation efforts including written demands, follow-ups, and negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, legal counsel, and external vendors to pursue recoveries.
• Negotiate settlements with adverse carriers, attorneys, and at-fault parties.
• Document all actions taken within the claim system and maintain accurate and timely file notes.
• Monitor claim statutes of limitation and take timely action to preserve subrogation rights.
• Recommend and coordinate legal action when voluntary recovery is not achievable.
• Track and report recovery performance metrics and trends.
• Maintain compliance with applicable state regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Experience Required:

High school diploma and equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of experience in subrogation claims adjusting, or insurance recovery preferred..
• Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to negotiate effectively and manage conflict professionally.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
