What you’ll be doing:
Analyze accounts and identify coverage needs, selection of markets, and negotiation of coverage and price for renewal business marketing activities not written by Church Mutual. New business may be included within the scope such as monoline workers' compensation in assistance to a Marketer. Assist in the managing of new business and renewal business through workers' compensation, wind pools, and government flood programs.
On any given day, you’ll:
I. Manage the quoting, renewing, and monitoring in the market of “Last Resort Business.” Assist in the management of new business and renewal business through workers' compensation, wind pools, and government flood programs.
II. Responsible for renewal business marketing activities including account analysis and assisting in the identification of coverage needs, selection of markets, and negotiation of coverage and price.
III. Assist the Regional Representative in coverage comparison and preparation of proposals on nonautomatic renewals. Bind and proof all incoming renewal policies.
IV. Assist and serve as backup in the account services responsibilities of the Specialty Services Support Specialist.
V. Develop ongoing procedures and processes for service types and lines of coverage.
VI. Inform management of evolving customer needs and develop or assist in the creation of solutions to address those needs. Handle more complex loss control recommendations.
VII. Respond to requests sent through the shared email inbox and act as a resources to others in the unit. Handle all special projects as assigned by management.
VIII. Complete requirements to obtain a property and casualty insurance license and maintain license with appropriate continuing education.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

3. Assist other CMIC Specialty Services team members with workload and training.
4. Obtain and maintain property and casualty insurance license.
5. Ability to travel as necessary.

Here’s what we expect
1. Prior Experience:
Two years of experience working in the commercial property and casualty insurance industry in an area that is required to work with coverages, such as customer services, underwriting, or sales required.
2. Education:
• Four-year college degree preferably with a business or marketing emphasis or equivalent experience required.• Postsecondary education or participation in recognized insurance education courses is desirable.
3. Necessary Knowledge and Abilities:
• Good knowledge and understanding of insurance market conditions and marketing experience.• Proven ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels within and outside the organization.• Ability to effectively obtain cooperation and secure information from prospects, policyholders, and Church Mutual sales staff.• Proficient computer skills, working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.• Knowledge of agency accounting and errors and omissions procedures required.• Ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks concurrently.• Ability and willingness to travel.• Ability to obtain and maintain insurance licenses as required by law.• Evidence of an ability and willingness to work in an environment of constant product and market changes.• Ability to learn to efficiently utilize Agency Management System.• Willingness to continue education and training to acquire the skills necessary to keep current.
