Hours worked (typical): 40 plus

Description of Typical Work Schedule: Varies due to appointments but typically its 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm. (Hours set based on necessity of department or office.)

                                                                                     

PURPOSE: The Program Manager is responsible for the success and overall operations of Fox River Apartments (Senior Assisted Living). Located on five acres of property just north of Olney Central College, this 30-unit apartment community provides meals, housekeeping, social activities and other daily assistance to adults 60 years of age and older. As part of the agency’s Senior Services, we provide income-based care to seniors from the surrounding community through our contract with the Illinois Department on Aging. 

REPORTING STRUCTURE: Refer to the updated organizational chart for reporting structure and responsibilities.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Assume the responsibility of hiring, training, and evaluating of all Fox River staff.
  • Responsible for marketing and managing the full residency of the Fox River apartments including maintaining a waiting list for potential residents.
  • Act as a champion of Fox River by marketing/branding, community outreach, and relationship building. 
  • Ensure building maintenance.
  • Responsible for the implementation of residents’ contracts and service plans as directed by IDoA. Along with creating private pay plans of care with the Director of nursing oversite.                                                                       
  • Serve as the person of contact and ensure compliance to the following agencies: Illinois Department of Aging (IDoA); Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH); Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA); Effingham County Committee on Aging, Senior Services (ECCOA). 
  • Perform a monthly audit of IDoA billing and report to the Chief Financial Officer.  
  • Implement customer satisfaction surveys and report to the Quality Improvement department. 
  • Manage intake and discharge (voluntary and involuntary) of residents.
  • Maintain constant assessment of residents’ occupancy and open dialogue with families.
  • Track and provide monthly attendance of residents to IDoA.
  • Ensure building maintenance, and safety protocols comply with the agency’s guidelines. 
  • Manage maintenance, fire protection, phone and other building contracts.
  • Plan, implement, and administer programs and services in a health care facility, including personnel administration, training, and coordination of Home Health Agencies, Counseling, VA, Adaptive Equipment services and arranging Medical Doctor Visits. 
  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Monitors wait list and schedule open house events.
