Branch has a preference for candidates in Ohio, but is open to candidates located in AL, AZ, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS. MO, NE, NV, NJ, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, and WI.

Branch is remote first, with most Branchers choosing to work from home. Our headquarters are located in Columbus, Ohio, where we come together from time to time to build relationships and connect with each other in real life. Once a year, the entire company gathers for “BranchFest”, a highlight of the year for many Branchers.

About the Head of Partnerships role

At Branch, we’re redefining the way people experience insurance—making it more affordable, accessible, and community-driven. As Head of Partnerships, you’ll lead the strategy and execution behind how Branch builds, deepens, and scales strategic relationships that fuel our growth and extend our mission.

In this role, you’ll own our approach to business development, responsible for identifying and unlocking high-value partnerships. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance & Legal to launch innovative go-to-market opportunities.

As a senior leader, you’ll shape how Branch shows up in the market through external relationships—bringing new members into the community, unlocking new production streams, and amplifying the impact of our brand. Your leadership will define the partnership playbook, deliver operational rigor, and ensure we prioritize the right bets to accelerate Branch’s growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a go-to-market with a new partner with a priority product

  • Be responsible to grow the Partner distribution channel at Branch by 3x/yr or greater

  • Consultatively hears partners’ problems and uses Branch’s unique products to design solutions that benefit Branch’s partners, Branch’s members and Branch

  • Uses analytical thought and deep knowledge of the field to exercise judgement

  • Lead efforts to identify, assess and optimize new business opportunities

  • Develop compelling business cases, including gaining leadership buy-in, to accomplish business objectives

  • Manages the launch and runs related activities of our partnerships, collaborating with internal collaborators across sales, operations, marketing, product, and business development

  • Monitors, analyzes, develops insights, and reports all in-market activity to understand the effectiveness of partnerships, and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Collaborate with the Branch tech team (software development, design, product management) to understand and improve Branch APIs, tools, and interfaces

  • Develop best-in-class communications to prepare partners to promote Branch products within the programs

  • Partners with internal teams to develop reports and reporting cadence.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • At least 7 years of business development, sales, or strategic partnerships

  • Domain Authority: Defines best practices and sets direction across teams or disciplines

  • Architect of Change: Drives transformation and builds systems that shape how work is done at scale

  • Influential Partner: Advises senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders; trusted for judgment and insight

  • Culture Builder: Embodies company values and mentors future leaders through example and initiative

  • Enterprise Impact: Work influences business strategy and accelerates long-term success

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree.
