Boater’s World Marine Centers is looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Outboard Motor Sales Consultant / Repower Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the marine industry, who thrives in a customer-facing sales environment and has a strong understanding of outboard engine products and repower solutions.
Whether assisting customers with new engine purchases or advising on full repower projects, this position plays a key role in helping clients make informed decisions and ensuring a high-quality experience from start to finish.
Job Duties:
- Provide outstanding customer service to clients visiting the dealership, reaching out online, or by phone.
- Maintain expert-level product knowledge of outboard engines, especially Yamaha, Mercury, and Suzuki.
- Assist customers in choosing the best repower options based on performance needs, usage, and budget.
- Quickly and accurately prepare estimates for installation labor and rigging parts required to complete single through quad engine repowers including controls, instrumentation, steering, and NEMA connectivity.
- Coordinate with parts and service teams to ensure smooth scheduling and execution of repower installations.
- Meet and exceed individual and dealership sales goals.
- Maintain a steady flow of prospects through proactive outreach and follow-up using the company’s CRM.
- Accurately process sales and documentation through the dealer management system.
- Take full ownership of the sales process—from first contact to after-sale support.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitive products, and manufacturer updates.
- Build strong customer relationships to foster repeat business and referrals.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support dealership growth and efficiency.
Requirements
- Sales experience, preferably in marine, automotive, or powersports environments.
- Solid technical understanding of outboard motors, repower applications, and marine equipment, preferably with OEM portal experience.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- CRM and dealer management system experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated.
- Comfortable working weekends and adapting to seasonal business demands.
