As a Lead Valve and Rotating Equipment Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the optimization, development, and troubleshooting of manufacturing processes for Masoneilan Control valves You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet stringent industry standards for safety, reliability, and performance. You will also lead initiatives to improve operator efficiency, technician safety, and overall labor productivity while ensuring the highest levels of product quality.
As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, optimizing, and validating manufacturing processes for assembly, testing, and handling of valves and rotating equipment to ensure high reliability, safety, and performance standards.
- Developing and maintaining manufacturing documentation, including process flows, SOPs, time studies, and quality plans aligned with international Oil & Gas standards.
- Designing and implementing specialized tooling, assembly fixtures, and test systems to improve ergonomic safety, reduce setup time, and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Reviewing customer requirements and developing SAP routings, customized test protocols, and efficient manufacturing workflows to meet project specifications.
- Developing detailed lift plans, considering center of gravity, total weight, and unique geometry of valves and rotating equipment to ensure safe handling and storage.
- Analyzing and optimizing shop floor layouts, assembly cells, and logistics flows to eliminate bottlenecks and support Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing principles.
- Leading structured problem-solving initiatives (e.g., 8D, A3, Fishbone) and driving continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Collaborating with R&D and Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of new valve and rotating equipment designs.
- Researching and deploying automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 technologies to enhance manufacturing flexibility, operational excellence, and competitiveness.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3 years of experience in oil & gas equipment assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and manufacturing.
- Possess experience in hands-on manufacturing processes for assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and handling of Oil & Gas equipment.
- Have proficiency in international codes and standards relevant to Oil & Gas manufacturing (e.g., API, ISO, ASME).
- Possess advanced skills in SAP Manufacturing, SolidWorks, Ansys, Nastran, or equivalent tools for design validation and tolerance analysis.
- Have demonstrated experience in Lean principles, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Possess hands-on expertise in tooling design, fixture development, cycle time reduction, and machine maintenance strategies.
