This is a mostly remote position with some on-site client work in Rochester, NY. The salary range is $34-42/hour BOE. We are open to our new teammate working part-time or full-time hours.

We’re a young but quickly growing company and we’re looking for our next HR Manager to join the team! Our HR Managers work with our clients (small businesses) to provide custom HR solutions. Our clients may need an extra set of HR hands, or have partnered with us to build their HR department from the ground up.
On any given day, you could be creating, enhancing, or executing on any of the below:
- Strategy for HR functional areas (compliance, benefits, talent management, systems, recruiting, culture)
- Organizational planning
- HR Audit(s)
- Employee handbook and policy development
- Benefit implementation
- HRIS implementation & automation
- Recruiting (job descriptions/posting, sourcing, resume collection & review, pre-screen interviews, scheduling interviews with hiring manager(s), job offer)
- Employee onboarding & off-boarding
- Culture programs
- Employee relations, including investigations, disciplinary actions and coaching
- Internal company marketing collateral such as culture events, benefits summary documents, onboarding presentations
- Payroll
Requirements
What will make you successful in this role (skills):
- Excellent communication, written and verbal skills, required.
- 3+ years of relevant HR experience in a generalist/manager role at a small-mid-sized company ( <300 ee’s).
- Proven track record of building and improving operational processes and procedures.
- Solid understanding of HR systems and ability to learn new systems.
- Thorough knowledge of employment law, compensation best practices, organizational planning and development, and employee relations. Experience with multi-state employment laws, including California employment laws, a plus.

- Education: Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
