Position Overview:
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing and communication initiatives that enhance the visibility, reputation, and enrollment of Incarnate Word High School. This role involves managing the school's digital presence, creating engaging content, and coordinating communications across various platforms to effectively reach current and prospective students, parents, alumnae, and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Advancement in developing a comprehensive marketing plan to support enrollment goals and increase the school's visibility in the community.
- Manage and optimize the school's online presence, including the website, social media channels, and email marketing.
- Create compelling marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, and digital content.
- Analyze the effectiveness of marketing strategies and adjust campaigns to maximize impact.
- Write, edit, and publish content for various communication channels, including the school’s website, social media, newsletters, and press releases.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, alumnae, and board members to gather stories and highlights for promotion.
- Provide marketing materials and support signature Advancement events, such as Annual Gala, Golf Tournament, etc, ensuring they are well-publicized and effectively communicated.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all media inquiries and manage relationships with local media outlets.
- Ensure all content aligns with the school’s brand voice, mission, and values.
- Assist in promoting school-wide events, and recruitment initiatives, fundraisers.
- Maintain consistency in branding across all communication materials and platforms.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, including social media management, email marketing platforms, and content management systems.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Graphic design experience, including proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
- Photography and video production skills.
- Experience in website management.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, salaried position with occasional evening and weekend hours required for events.
