Apple’s SAR Engineering team is looking for an engineer to work on RF Exposure (SAR/MPE) characterization across different wireless technologies for Apple’s wireless products.

Description


- Work closely with in-region CM/Factory counterparts and internal teams in planning/executing on product development and validation activities. - Travel to in-region CM/Factory locations to debug the issue and bring up the test setups. - Understanding device to device variation by characterizing radiated and conducted KPI’s and performing marginality analysis. - Validating RF Exposure test cases for different regulatory domains in certification test setups. - Translating WW regulatory requirements into test cases. Coordinating with regulatory compliance teams to ensure product validation covers all certification tests. - Define/execute validation plan for RF Exposure facing SW features. - Debugging marginal/failure tests with cross-functional teams like RFHW /Antenna/ Product Design/EE/etc. and drive design changes to address issues. - Maintain test setups via periodic checks, calibration, etc. - Help Regulatory Compliance teams in planning/executing on final certification testing at 3rd party test labs.

Minimum Qualifications


BS degree in technical discipline with minimum 10+ years of relevant experience. Working Experience with different wireless communication systems such as GSM/UMTS/LTE, 802.11xx, Bluetooth etc. including the corresponding system level specifications (e.g., ETSI 51.010, 51.05…) is important. Working Experience with regulatory requirements and certification process for wireless consumer devices, including FCC, PTCRB, CTIA, ETSI, 3GPP etc. Excellent communication skills required, both written & verbal.

Preferred Qualifications


MS degree in technical discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience is preferred. Working experience of antenna design and tests, in particular hands-on experience for compliance measurements is desirable. Experience with 5GmmWave standard and/or hands-on chamber/system level understanding is a plus. Experience with Antenna/EM simulation tools is a plus.
