About the Role

As a Staff Full Stack Engineer at Anon, you'll be a technical leader driving the evolution of our Enterprise Data Migration platform. You'll architect systems that help companies automate customer onboarding through secure data extraction at scale. Beyond individual contributions, you'll mentor engineers, shape technical strategy, and establish engineering best practices across the organization. This role requires deep technical expertise across the stack combined with the ability to influence and guide technical decisions that impact our entire platform.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Define and drive the technical roadmap for core platform capabilities

  • Lead architectural design reviews and make critical technical decisions

  • Establish engineering standards, patterns, and best practices across teams

  • Identify and address technical debt while balancing feature velocity

  • Champion reliability, security, and performance across all systems

Platform Development & Innovation

  • Architect and implement complex, distributed systems handling millions of authentications

  • Design scalable solutions for browser automation and data extraction challenges

  • Build frameworks and tools that multiply the effectiveness of the engineering team

  • Lead initiatives to improve platform extensibility and developer experience

  • Drive adoption of new technologies and architectural patterns

Mentorship & Team Building

  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and pair programming

  • Lead technical interviews and help shape hiring decisions

  • Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning

  • Guide engineers in career development and technical growth

  • Build consensus around technical decisions across stakeholder groups

Cross-Functional Impact

  • Partner with product and design to shape the platform roadmap

  • Collaborate with customer success to architect enterprise solutions

  • Work with security team to ensure platform compliance and safety

  • Interface with external partners on integration architecture

  • Represent engineering in executive planning and strategy sessions

What We're Looking For

Technical Requirements

  • 5-8 years of software engineering experience with increasing scope and impact

  • Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frameworks

  • Deep experience with distributed systems and cloud architecture (AWS/GCP)

  • Proven track record of architecting and scaling production systems

  • Strong background in authentication, security, and API design

  • Experience with browser automation and web scraping technologies preferred

  • History of making sound technical decisions with long-term impact

Leadership Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects end-to-end

  • Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical culture

  • Track record of influencing technical direction without formal authority

  • Success working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders

  • Examples of building consensus around controversial technical decisions

Platform & Scale Mindset

  • Experience building developer platforms or infrastructure products

  • Understanding of multi-tenant architectures and enterprise requirements

  • Ability to balance technical perfection with business needs

  • Track record of improving engineering velocity through tooling and process

  • Experience with high-scale systems (millions of requests/day)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
