Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated college student pursuing a degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field to join our team for a summer internship. This intern will explore and recommend AI-driven solutions to improve our manufacturing, quoting, scheduling, and overall operational efficiency. You will work directly with our leadership team to identify bottlenecks and propose practical AI applications.

  

Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze AI applications relevant to precision manufacturing
  • Evaluate existing processes (quoting, scheduling, inspection, etc.) for AI integration opportunities
  • Prototype or suggest AI tools that could automate or enhance tasks
  • Present findings and recommendations to management
  • Collaborate with engineers, estimators, and shop floor staff to validate ideas
  • Document processes, research findings, and proposed implementations

Requirements

  

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program (junior or senior level preferred) in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of machine learning, large language models, or industrial AI applications
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Interest in manufacturing and real-world operational efficiency
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Familiarity with Python, AI tools, or platforms such as  ChatGPT, Copilot, or custom-trained models is a plus
