Success looks like managing deadlines, minimizing risks, and delivering clear, actionable insights that support the company’s overall business objectives.
A Typical Day:
- Provide technical accounting guidance to the Global Indirect Tax team, ensuring accuracy of FAS5 reserves and out-of-pocket expense tracking.
- Manage the forecasting process for non-income taxes globally, reviewing regional team submissions and communicating key deliverables.
- Oversee tax accounting and reserve analysis for state and local taxes, including transient occupancy, sales and use, business and franchise, and property taxes.
- Support the state provision process, monitor relevant tax law changes, and review provision workpapers.
- Coordinate and review outsourced SALT tax filings, prepare and review PBCs, and manage state tax calendars and notice trackers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners—including policy, legal, and external advisors—to address ad hoc tax matters and support controversy needs.
Your Expertise:
- 5+ years of relevant tax experience with a focus on US State and Local income tax accounting and compliance.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP/ASC 740/ASC 450 and high-level understanding of US SALT laws.
- Experience with SOX 404 internal control requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver results across multiple deadlines.
