Technical Product Designer (Consultant)
Job Description
*AG Consulting Partners is seeking a Technical Product Designer (Consultant) to join our dynamic consulting team. In this role, you'll help drive product innovation by designing intuitive, scalable solutions leveraging Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong product mindset, outstanding communication skills, and a passion for creating seamless user experiences. This is a fast-paced, high-impact opportunity to work cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to enhance partner-facing and internal tools.
Work Location Flexibility: Currently, this role provides the option for remote work; however, flexibility from our consultants is crucial for both our team and clients. Our project activities are dictated by client requirements, which, at times, might necessitate in-person collaboration. Should a client’s onsite or return-to-office policy evolve, consultants must comply with those expectations. We strive to offer as much advance notice and assistance as possible in such circumstances that arise.*
As a Technical Product Designer (Consultant) for AG Consulting Partners, a typical day might include the following:
- Lead User Research Initiatives
Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research methods—such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing—to uncover user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Synthesize findings into actionable insights that influence design and product strategy. - Define Problem Statements and Experience Goals
Translate research insights and stakeholder input into clear, user-centered problem statements and design objectives. Use these to frame design hypotheses and ensure alignment with broader business outcomes. - Facilitate Ideation and Solutioning Sessions
Lead and contribute to brainstorming workshops with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders. Explore multiple concepts, push for creative solutions, and ensure design feasibility with technical teams. - Design Prototypes and Proofs of Concept (POCs)
Use Figma, Power Apps, and other low-code tools to create interactive prototypes that convey experience flows and UI behavior. Build working POCs to validate ideas and gather feedback early in the product lifecycle. - Develop User Stories and Functional Requirements
Translate design outputs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure clarity and alignment with development teams. Help prioritize design work in collaboration with product owners. - Drive Agentic Design Experiences
Integrate automation and personalization into designs to improve efficiency, productivity, and user satisfaction. Utilize tools such as Power Automate to enable agentic features that anticipate and respond to user needs. - Collaborate Across Teams to Shape Product Roadmaps
Work closely with product managers and engineering leads to ensure designs align with strategic priorities. Influence product planning through user insights and data-driven recommendations. - Champion Usability and Accessibility Standards
Advocate for inclusive design principles, ensuring all user experiences are accessible, intuitive, and aligned with best practices across devices and environments. - Support Product Adoption and Training
Create engaging product documentation, guidance, and onboarding materials. Coach end users on how to effectively engage with tools and features through live sessions, written guides, and quick-start resources. - Maintain Design Consistency and Quality
Apply consistent UI patterns and branding standards. Provide feedback to peers and development teams to uphold design integrity from concept to implementation. - Stay Ahead of Industry Trends
Continuously learn and experiment with new design methodologies, tools, and technologies, including AI-assisted design, to keep our solutions modern, scalable, and forward-thinking.
This job is for you if:
- You excel in collaboration. You thrive in team settings, working effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to drive projects forward.
- You are adaptable and resilient. You embrace change, manage shifting priorities with ease, and stay composed under pressure in fast-paced project environments.
- You possess strong problem-solving skills. You approach challenges analytically and strategically, identifying obstacles early and implementing effective solutions.
- You have a keen attention to detail. You ensure accuracy in project plans, timelines, and deliverables, recognizing that even small details can impact project success.
- You are an effective communicator. You can distill complex information into clear, concise updates for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment at every stage.
- You demonstrate leadership and influence. You proactively drive initiatives, inspire collaboration, and guide teams toward achieving project objectives—even without formal authority.
- You are results-driven. You take ownership of tasks, set measurable goals, and continuously track progress to deliver successful outcomes.

- Familiarity with multiple Dynamics 365 modules, especially Sales, Customer Service, and Customer Insights–Journeys.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO) and writing strong, clear user stories.
- Track record of simplifying complex workflows and business processes.
- Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
You might also have:
